A meeting of the Community Development Agency was called to order by Chair Larry Stranske at the above time and place.

ROLL  -  Present:  Board members Victor Hanson, Greg Kanne, Holly Madrigal, Bruce Burton and Chair Larry Stranske

Also present was Director Paul Cayler and Community Development Director Alan Falleri.

MINUTES  -  Motion Burton/2nd Kanne and unanimous vote to approve the Community Development Agency minutes of April 22, 2009.

APPROVAL OF A FACADE GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY RODNEY USHER FOR 358 SOUTH MAIN STREET – Community Development Director Alan Falleri advised that Rosamund Crowder and Donna D’Terra, acting on behalf of Rodney Usher, owner of Trinity Crafts had submitted a Façade Grant application to assist in funding of a mural to be placed on the northerly façade of the store.  Falleri indicated that bids had been submitted by Rosamund Crowder for $6,300 and Janet Rayner for $13,390.  He also noted that a previous façade grant had been awarded to upgrade the façade of the subject building in 2007. Falleri indicated that the Revit-ED Committee had reviewed the applications and estimates and recommended support of the application for one-half of the actual project cost up to $3,150.  Council discussed the CDA budget and its present shortfall and whether this matter should be tabled until this budget shortfall was addressed.  Motion Madrigal/2nd Kanne and unanimous roll call vote to not approve the façade grant application for placement of a mural at Trinity Crafts located at 358 South Main Street.
