A meeting of the Community Development Agency was called to order by Chair Larry Stranske at the above time and place.

ROLL – Present: Board members Victor Hanson, Greg Kanne, Holly Madrigal, Bruce Burton and Chair Larry Stranske.

MINUTES – Motion Kanne/2nd Madrigal and vote to approve the minutes of 09/10/08, with Board Members Burton and Hanson abstaining.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANT APPLICATION
GATEWAY GIFTS, 1726 SOUTH MAIN STREET
Board Member Victor Hanson left the room due to a stated conflict of interest, as the applicants also operate a business in a shopping center that he owns. An application was reviewed from Gateway Gifts for replacement of indoor lighting fixtures with more efficient lighting fixtures at 1726 South Main Street. Estimates for the project ranged from $1,002.55 to $1,204.62. Community Development Director Alan Falleri reported that the Revit-ED Committee recommended support for 2 of the actual cost, not to exceed $501.28, which was 2 of the lower estimate.
Motion Burton/2nd Madrigal and unanimous vote, Board Member Hanson abstain, to authorize expenditure of 50% of the lower estimate, not to exceed $501.28, from the Energy Efficiency Grant Program for the purchase and installation of new indoor lighting fixtures at Gateway Gifts located at 1726 South Main Street.
Board Member Hanson returned to the room.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANT APPLICATION
EVERGREEN CENTER, 1726 SOUTH MAIN STREET
An application was reviewed from Evergreen Shopping Center for replacement of outdoor lighting fixtures with more efficient lighting fixtures at 1726 South Main Street. Estimates for the work ranged from $3,156.67 to $3,503.44 (net of incentive of $2,045.68). The Revit-ED committee recommended approval for 2 of the actual cost, not to exceed $1,578.34, 2of the lower estimate.
Motion Burton/2nd Kanne and unanimous vote to authorize expenditure of 50% of the lower estimate, not to exceed $1,578.34, from the Energy Efficiency Grant Program for the purchase and installation of new outdoor lighting fixtures at Evergreen Shopping Center located at 1726 South Main Street.
