2010 Winter Storms
CITY OF WILLITS SETS UP PREVENTIVE SAND BAG PROGRAM
Willits, CA – In preparation for potential flooding from a series of current and continuing winter
storms affecting the west coast, the City of Willits has set up a voluntary sandbag station,
effective immediately, at City Hall located at 111 East Commercial Street in Willits. The selfserve
station for City residents will be set-up in the parking lot east of the Police Department.
There will be a limit of 24 sandbags per household.
With heavy rain and wind forecast in the Willits area for at least the next week, residents are
encouraged to take early measures to prepare for flooding, as well as power outages.
